What NAPA NexDrive Certification Covers
NAPA NexDrive is Canada’s certification program for electric and hybrid vehicle service — not something a shop earns overnight. Our qualified technicians are fully certified EV specialists, trained and equipped to work across all the systems that make these vehicles unique, That means:

Electric and hybrid vehicles don’t have a traditional engine to tinker with, but that doesn’t mean there’s less to take seriously — if anything, there’s more. High-voltage battery and drivetrain systems carry real electric shock risk, so this isn’t a job for guesswork. Whenever we’re working on high-voltage components, that part of our shop becomes a dedicated, roped-off work area, and our technicians suit up in proper PPE and use specialized scan tools built for the job. Took our older model Camry Hybrid in for some rear suspension work, which was done at a fraction of the cost quoted by the Toyota dealer. While we were there, the warning light appeared for the hybrid system. The technician checked, and the hybrid battery was shot. We had that replaced as well. The car is now running as good as new. I wish we had replaced the hybrid battery much sooner. Fuel economy is fantastic now, and it has much better acceleration.
